Refunds, Cancellations & Missed Appointments Policy
At Cumbria Assessment and Diagnostic Service (CADS), we understand that plans can change. This summary explains our approach to refunds, cancellations, and missed appointments, ensuring clarity and fairness for all clients. The full Refund and Did Not Attend (DNA) Policies are available upon request.
1. Cancelling or Rescheduling
Notice period: Please let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Initial Screening Appointments:
More than 24 hours’ notice → full refund or reschedule.
Less than 24 hours’ notice → refunds are generally not available unless exceptional circumstances apply (e.g., sudden illness, bereavement, or other emergencies).
2. Full Assessments
We normally allow up to three missed appointments during a full assessment.
Missing more than three appointments may result in being charged the full remaining assessment fee. In some cases, CADS may need to discontinue the assessment process.
3. Refunds
Initial Screening Appointments: Refunds are processed via Stripe if notice requirements are met.
Full Assessments:
If you choose to discontinue the assessment process before completion, a bespoke fee will be calculated to reflect the time and work already completed.
If CADS is unable to continue the assessment within a reasonable timeframe, a full or partial refund will be offered.
4. Exceptions
Emergencies and unforeseen circumstances are considered on a case-by-case basis, and adjustments will be communicated to you if needed.
5. Your Responsibilities
Inform us promptly if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Refer to the DNA Policy for details about how missed appointments may affect refunds or fees.
